The terms that govern your use of this website and EII's courses, tours and advisory services.
By accessing or using this website, registering for a course, joining a study mission, or engaging EII for advisory or consultancy services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use this website or our services.
These Terms apply to individual delegates, corporate clients, county and national government institutions, and any other party engaging with the Ethics and Integrity Institute ("EII", "we", "us", or "the Institute").
The Ethics and Integrity Institute is a non-profit organisation registered in Kenya, promoting ethical culture and good governance across public, private and civil-society organisations. This website describes our courses, mentorship programs, educational tours, consultancy services and portfolio of past engagements.
Content on this website is provided for general information about EII's programs and does not itself constitute a binding offer of services; specific engagements are confirmed through a separate proposal, invoice, or written agreement.
Registering interest in a course through this website (including via the "Register" or "Register Interest" actions on the Courses and Tours pages) is an expression of interest, not a confirmed booking. A place is only confirmed once EII has issued a proposal or invoice and, where applicable, payment has been received.
As a non-profit entity, EII's course fees vary depending on duration, venue and group size, and are generally modest and negotiable per day, per delegate and per open program. Prices shown anywhere on this website are indicative only and are superseded by the fee quoted in your proposal or invoice.
Cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms for a confirmed engagement will be set out in the proposal, invoice, or service agreement for that engagement. In the absence of a specific written agreement, EII will work with the client in good faith to agree reasonable terms for any cancellation or postponement.
Delegates attending EII courses, forums and study missions are expected to engage respectfully with facilitators, partner institutions and fellow delegates, and to uphold the ethical standards the programs themselves teach. EII may decline to enrol, or may remove, a delegate whose conduct is abusive, discriminatory, or disruptive to a program.
The EII name, logo, course materials, certificates and published guidance are the intellectual property of the Ethics and Integrity Institute (or its partners, where a program was co-delivered) and may not be reproduced, resold, or represented as your own without written permission.
Certificates issued on completion of a course remain valid evidence of that delegate's participation and may display the EII brand alongside a co-delivering partner's brand where applicable.
This website links to third-party services, including WhatsApp, Google Maps, and our partners' and social-media platforms. EII is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site or service, and your use of them is governed by that third party's own terms.
This website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While EII takes care to keep information accurate, we do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully up to date at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, EII will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or reliance on the information it contains.
You agree to indemnify and hold EII harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of this website or your breach of these Terms.
Our collection and use of personal information — including information submitted through the Contact, Sign Up and course registration forms — is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of EII's services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya, without prejudice to any right EII has to seek resolution through mediation or arbitration first.
EII may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the Terms were last revised. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
